Raptor:  a bird of prey (i.e. eagle, hawk, falcon, owl, vulture)

Prey:  an animal that is hunted or killed for food

Predator:  an animal that lives on killing and eating other animals

Life cycle:  the series of changes in the life of an organism (living thing)

Incubation: the process of letting embryos grow inside of eggs

Fledgling:  a young bird that has just become able to fly

Talons:  claws that belong to a bird

Carcass:  the dead body of an animal

Predatory raptor:  a bird that hunts and eats living animals

Scavenging raptor:  a bird that feeds on dead animals

Endangered:  seriously at risk of extinction
